If you have read any of my past posts regarding travel, you know that listed fairly high on my list of travel essentials is a maxi or sundress. They are just so easy to wake up and throw on in the morning, making getting out the door that much faster and they’re easy to style as well. All it takes is a few pieces of jewelry, maybe a little darker makeup to go out for the evening, or a quick ponytail and a pair of fabulous sunglasses to head out to the beach or maybe exploring for the day.
Not to mention a maxi or sundress is the perfect comfort wear whether you are traveling by plane, train, or car. Especially if they’re longer. You can scrunch up in that uncomfortable seat as much as you need to, to find that ‘comfy’ travel position without having to worry about being modest or having the waistband from your pants or wire bra (because many of these dresses come with built-ins now!) cutting into your skin the entire trip.
And bonus! You can find yourself the perfect travel dress for relatively cheap. This adorable little number for example, I picked up at Ross for $8 a couple of days before leaving for San Diego! I couldn’t resist the multicolored bobbles, and I was really feeling a bright color for the beach. Needless to say it turned out to be the perfect lightweight beach dress for California.
