Now that you have seen the whimsical side of Theo Doro with her Black Butterfly Dress, I want to show you another reason I am in love with this brand. The flip side, if you will, of whimsy and play Theo Doro also offers pieces that are for everyday wear. Equally as classy and sophisticated as her evening wear, I could easily walk in to a board meeting to give a presentation wearing this outfit and appear put together and professional.
I adore these trousers, they just look so chic! You all know I’m a sucker for a high waistline as I find it flatters the female form beautifully, and the darts around the pockets only add to that effect. And the cuffs on the bottom of the pant leg, with the dark rose fastens? Beyond elegant. Not to mention they are made with a soft yet heavier crepe fabric that hangs nicely, breathes well, and best of all doesn’t wrinkle! Most of Dorota’s clothing is made from fabrics that feel soft and soothing against the skin. This rose pink top for example is made with jacquard satin and lace, two fabrics that are prevalent throughout her collections.

The rose petal bodice is designed somewhat like a corset and molds to the body like butter, so much so I really had no need to wear even so much as a strapless with this. TMI? Maybe, but my mother always told me that a well made garment was something that was tailored to the body so well it held everything in place without aid and didn’t require adjustment throughout the day. So there ya go! The cap sleeves give it a feminine and modest look and the Jackie O neckline with the bow in back provide a glossy touch of elegance, as does the floral engrossment of the jacquard. Frankly this ensemble is one I wish I could wear everyday if only to maintain that ‘feminine powerhouse’ feeling I get when I have it on.
