This year was my very first time attending Phoenix Fashion Week and the experience was all I could have hoped for and more! I was fortunate in being able to attend all three nights and ultimately be present for all 19 designers shows: Community Talent Night, Returning Designers, and the Fashionably Pink ‘Don’t be a Chump Check for a Lump’ Breast Cancer charity fashion shows. The Fashoinably Pink Event was a real heart warmer, so many courageous warrior women! The designer shows were no less moving as they at last unveiled their final collections. We have been given the opportunity to check in with the designers here and there throughout their brand’s several month bootcamp journey and it was inspiring to witness the fruits of their labor put to music with so much elegance and pizaaz!
I also got to reconnect with several of the great name brands I have been introduced to in the past few months, having all come together all in one place at Talking Stick Resort each evening. Toni & Guy, Evine & Lash Affair of whom I have only just recently discovered and had an amazing first time experience with (which will be coming to the blog soon!). Needless to say if you attended Phoenix Fashion Week this year they were the ones responsible for all that fabulous glam lash volume you may have seen strutting the red carpet! And speaking of VIP’s, I went all out this year enjoying as much of the PFW frenzy as I could, even signing up for a few of the seminars they hosted.
They selected a very impressive group of speakers providing education on branding, marketing, and marketing tools. Even a class on how to legally own your content online and many others. Though I wish I could have attended more I stuck to two seminars, both on blogging and wonderfully given by Arizona’s very own NYC fashion blogger Audree Lopez of SimplyAudreeKate. So much information and such great speakers! Though I didn’t get to attend more of the seminars I heard similar reviews from several of the other attendees. I will definitely be signing up for the seminars again next year!
But we all know what you really want to know! Considering I have been writing about it for months…Who Won?! So drum roll please! The winners in each designer category for Phoenix Fashion Week 2017 are:
